Playa Tamarindo is the "Adventure Capital" of the northwest coast of Costa Rica, in the province of Guanacaste. There is an amazing diversity of activities and experiences to be had. You can learn to surf, take Spanish lessons, do a world class spa day, or sip a happy hour beverage on the beach and watch a world-class sunset. It is a great destination for all ages too. Families will enjoy the fact that not only is Tamarindo a wonderful swimming beach, but it is also a Blue Flag Beach. This means that it is recognized as one of the cleanest beaches in all of Costa Rica.
The restaurant scene in Tamarindo is also fantastic. There are many international restaurants serving a wide array of culinary delights. There are restaurants specializing in Italian, Chines, Asian Fusion, sushi, steak, Mediterranean and middle eastern, to name just a few. We also have some wonderful local, off the beaten path options that are inexpensive and show the flavors of the area.
